Just got mine from GSaab and just installed. I followed the recommendations that Victory Red SS did in one of his posts. I went ahead and installed the yellow spring before I even got started. I have the GMTU so from what I have read, that was the one I needed. Install was pretty easy although it would be hard to get to if you have big arms. Luckily I don't.
First of all, compared to the original part, this is amazing. The original part is a piece of garbage compared to this. I have heard it release a few times.
First impression of the short drive that I took: so much more power quicker. No more pushing the peddle down and nothing happening for a second or so. I didn't drive it much but am going to this afternoon. I got a couple of first to second gear tire spins (mine is an automatic). Where i used to notice the lack was going 50 or so and needing to pass a slower car on a two lane road, now i bet that won't be a problem any more. I hope to find out later today.
I think this is a very good part and well worth the money (137.00).
I say get it if you can.

I didn't drop a bolt. I agree with the fine Doctor, much better boost solid piece of hardware, sorry I waited so long to get one.

Hello need help. I was about to intal the bpv. To make things more easy I removed the short pipe that connects from the airbox to the turbo. I noticed a decent amount of oil inside. Is this normal?

I'm surprised no one has added any thing here, there is a deal called a catch can, to catch the oil. I think Joe Shulte has one ask him about it. My concern is keeping the air sensor clean.

Success! I finally got the Forge unit swapped in. I didn't drop a bolt, but I did drop my wrench. It went all the way to the ground, luckily. I left the green spring in that came with it. I can see how the straight nipple would have been more convenient, but the angle one worked just fine. Now the car sounds more like it should sound, with a more responsive turbo. The old BPV sounded kind of like a dog cough. The new one sounds much better. It is actually pretty loud if I lift my foot on a lot of boost. I used to hear some whistling but not now. I wonder if the old valve was leaking.

If you are tuning you might try the stiffer spring, it works perfect with the stg1. Still hesitates a bit with Trifecta, I ordered the set with two more stiffer ones, I'll let you know if the next one fixes Trifecta.
