Just sent an email to Kyle@ZZP and this was his reply:

"Basically we would need someone with an automatic HHR SS to come in and leave the car for about a week so we can do the R&D and make a finished product. In return for letting us use their car for the R&D they will get a free lower charge pipe installed."

Anyone in the Michigan area wanna leave their automatic SS with them

If I were a little closer....I would DEFINENTLY do this....

i say UPGRADE the cold side pipe. you can do a search from 08 when my STOCK cold side had a crack in it,from the dealrship!! i wasn't the only owner that this was happening to. if anything, upgrade for that. especially with the car not being made anymore, that part was hard to come by then. i had them pull one off another car to make me happy

Maybe ZZP will make one that doesn't require butchery, I will buy that.

My buddy shattered his upper pipe on stock boost, Idk if any of you guys are having problems with them but the cobalt guys are. So the hot side fits perfectly fine into the rubber stock clamp?

this is how far "off" the ZZP lower charge pipe was. Even though I cut about 4-5 inches off....it still doesn't line up with the intercooler inlet. Dosen't have the correct "bend" to it. I'm counting on the silicone coupler and the t-bolt clamps to hold mine together

Clear Image automotive, I believe he makes the cold side for both transmissions, but as someone said earlier a TTR motormount will cure both.

Wow, didn't mean to piss in anybody's Wheeties, about the Weekend Monkey part, but I WAS implying that most of the SS owners out there, not neccessarly forum members, will gladly spend the hour or so changing out the "visible" Hot-side pipe, but when looking at how "to" tackle the cold-pipe, maf, etc. Most will say its not needed, and won't do it, because it is a far more involved, not difficult, but a more involved process to complete the change over.

Now, why you should do it............. Busted end tank comes to mind, again why? in my case the HAHN pipes are pretty big compared to stock, so if you are shoving more HOT air into the intercooler, but are unable to move that air at the same rate on the way out, you create....say it with me....backpressure. which leads to all kinds of funky stresses on your inter-cooler, turbo, exhaust valves, plus the hard pipes get rid of the nasty pinch the stock piping, T-bolts are a hell of a lot better, and why would you ever buy a left shoe without a right one?

That ZZP pipe is way too long WOW! If you intend to keep that pipe, I'm sure you could find a pipe fitter in your area and have them put a flange on that pipe, you really don't wanna "pop" that end off, a little pebble or something ever got in there instant grenade.

Really din't mean to piss offf my fellow "monkeys"

My upper pipe literally blew apart under high boost of my tune
Thankfully I reloaded stock tune took to dealership and got my hood replaced cause of damages
