12V solenoid would make a flap cake. That's what I'd do. but i'm an engineer, so I think I'm supposed to "over do" everything! lol

I had planned to vent my hood using the factory vents from a Chevrolet Z34. I'm glad to see that someone is trying something different. :) Have you monitored your intake temperatures?
