So I was able to get my hands on one of these. Harder to find since the company no longer exist. I know there isn't much gain as far as performance. But it's nice to have the air box off and the sound it produces is pretty amazing. Anyone else running this on their SS? I'm running it with a Specter Cone filter.

Looks cool, probably sounds cool too.. did this on my old T-type (eliminated the air box and just used a cone filter) and it sounded great.

On these cars though I don't see the performance gain if there is any at all. The factory airbox, though cumbersome, does a good job at scavenging cooler fender air rather than hot under-hood air..so while we lose the sound and cosmetics, I am sure the air charge temps are lower with the stock configuration.

I like the looks. I think it would be nice just to free up room above the engine for any sort of hot side charge piping. With the stock airbox, there is only a couple that fit.
