Yeah I have been idling at least 30-60sec when I park. What are they saying? Is there turbo temp gauges? like the trucks. But that was the first time the fan kept running after key out. One of the warmest days I've owned it too. Just got'r 4/09. Not even 10K yet had 6k on it when I picked up

And there goes the tires! After I finally shut it down last night after it's thrashing the fan kept running after key out? It was still running about 5min. later still so I keyed on and saw 226deg which I know is fine after it shuts off but I thought maybe the kit install stuck the fan on. I fired it back up to pump it around and it dropped right to 200 and fans quit after shut down. But really...
WOW!!!
Where did you have your install done?

It was Berger Motors in Ionia. It's right next door to my work. Gave me what I thought was a good deal on the kit and they did the install for $80. All is good so far. You almost re-learn to drive it even w/Auto. They checked a few bulletins for me too and they're goin to put the HP pump cover on. But yesterday it had an inch of Water in the drivers floor so Now I got more problems They did check some leak TSB's and have some things to look for but I dried it out (carpet up, Shop vac, Shamwow.) gotta have it for the weekend We'll see?

The dealer where I bought my HHR SS didn't want to touch installing the LNF Turbo upgrade kit. I wasn't upset since I'd rather have them be up front with me about that so I could take it to a dealer that has done some installations successfully.

I received a recommendation on this forum to have it installed by Ed Rinke Chevrolet since they have done several and know what to do. On my day off last week I drove in to the service early in the morning and was out before lunch with the upgrade and an oil change. My HHR SS is an Automatic with the vacuum upgrade for the brakes and the installation was smooth. No issues so far!

It really makes a difference and it doesn't seem like it is being held back anymore. Most of the time I drive easy with economy in mind but it is great to have the extra power on tap if needed. It already saved me once when someone driving a 1978 Caprice wagon decided to cut over in my lane without looking. Having the extra pep enabled me to avoid that person.

Now it's just right...

My SS is going under the knife (or wrench & solder gun ATCMB) tomorrow to get the stage 1 installed.
I got the kit from Epay and it seems to be complete.
My instructions are dated (revised)23feb09
Is this the most current, updated, trouble-free revision or is there a newer set someone could link at me?

Thanks 1M$

I'm going to a recommended dealer 3.5 hours away.
I'm meeting someone another hour away from there afterwards.
I'll be 4+ hours from here so we'll see how I enjoy it after I get it home

I am looking for a place near Omaha or Chicago to get a stage 1 done.... I would like a dealer who has done it many times if possible.

Near Chicago go to Rockenbach Chevrolet, Home of Crate Engine Depot. They have installed many and Tom will take good care of you!
