Hahn CAI
wow your spending $300 on a filter and small peice of piping, not worth it on the hhr FYI. I've done a TON of logs with the stock airbox, with and without the lid. I would personally NOT spend the money on the k&n kit and get either the secret services kit or just buy the k&n filter itself. Our airbox works much better than the css airbox because their box has a long skinny snorkle with a panel filter opposed to a box with a filter in it and a peice that goes to the fender.

Put real fresh air into it.
Secret service would seem to be the best after mkt. mod out there for a CAI , But i would bet i'm geting twice the amount of fresh outside air with my custom CAI scoop.
After a trifecta tune , The #'s will tell the tail, I just need a dyno with a fan that can blow 100 mph winds across my hood.

You need to block off the part that would go to the fender or reattach the stock peice so you can keep the cooler air when not moving. It looks good but I dont want to cut up my stock hood. BTW give me your armrest.
Hey Guys,
Batman Love what you did, block off the side hole.
Some of the members spending the 250+ on the K&N kit to me is a waste.
You can buy the stubby tube, and the proper K&N filter for around $80.00 at most Auto Parts stores.
Has anyone tried modding the front loaded CAI for an older Mudstain or a firebird.
Be Wary... If my memory serves me correct, the Secret Services CAI requires cutting of the Radiator Frame?

Armrest, Then what would i use ?
Those are not your IAT temps, thats just your coolant temp. Your IAT will go higher since it sucking in straight engine bay air. Needs to be blocked off or put the stock snorkle on there to get fender air.
Edit: Never mind you said the side it blocked off now, guess it just wasn't in the pics.
