Stage kit for LNF Turbo - Warranty Clarification
- If customer takes delivery of stage kit with new vehicle purchase, warranty on stage kit is equal to the new vehicle powertrain warranty.
- If customer takes delivery of stage kit after new vehicle purchase, warranty on stage kit = 12 months/12,000 miles or the remaining new vehicle warranty, whichever is longer.
- Installation of stage kit does NOT void new vehicle/powertrain warranty.
- Warranty is void if kit is used for racing.

As for the "is it worth it" ... you've got to understand... most of the people (that I've talked to, anyway) who are standing in line for this kit have no interest in the tune itself. They are looking for the sensors and the new ECM OS that supports the sensors. There is a thread on Solstice Forum that talks about the tune characteristics, and as I read it... it's just another "good tune" among many available. Again, that's not what matters to many waiting for the kit.

If I'm interpreting this correctly, they're not giving as aggressive a tune with the HHR as they are with the Solstice / Sky?
Perhaps they weren't comfortable with the FWD getting too much torque, or maybe the 5 speed isn't as sturdy as the Solstice?

More than likely is that it is the same issue many of us here have already figured out, unless you upgrade your clutch the engine produces too much torque and will cause the clutch to slip.
The 315 number they use, which I'll assume is at the engine is about 10-20 ft lbs below where the clutch will start to slip
Remember we have same clutch, same trans but a with a different ratio to handle our cars higher weight.

my guess is partly the clutch issue, but also 340 is a lot of torque for a FWD, especially assuming you're on the stock tires. remember, this stage package is being marketed by GM as being available to the STOCK car, using 100% stock equipment. they don't want a bunch of people adding this, then complaining that they can't leave a light without smoking up the tires, and then maybe getting sued for tickets because the car is too powerful for the stock tires, yada yada yada.
i dunno, makes sense to me.
