The good stuff copied from the Solstice forum:

"The Californa Air Resources Board (CARB) published a CARB cert for this tune today. It was executed on Aug 22nd. This means that this tune will be 50 state legal, does in fact exist, and is probably close to release.

From the cert:

"The LNF Turbocharged Ecotec Upgrade Kit includes a calibration update, two mass air flow/intake air temperature sensors (TMAP sensors) to replace the stock manifold absolute pressure sensor and the TMAP sensor, and installation hardware."

The hardware part number is 12626990.

The calibration part numbers are:

2007 auto trans : 12625958
2007 manual trans : 12625959
2008 auto trans without electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625952
2008 manual trans without electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625954
2008 auto trans with electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625951
2008 manual trans with electronic vacuum pump for brake assist : 12625953

2008 chevy hhr auto trans : 12625956
2008 chevy hhr manual trans : 12625957
2008 chevy cobalt manual trans : 12625955

There are no performance numbers issued with this as CA is just certifying emissions."

And this is interesting news for the brake boost issues.

I suspect I'll pony up the dollars for this kit when available so I can get the MAPS and TMAP sensors that read past 255Kpa so I can set the stage for more boost with a more spin-happy turbo unit.

I guess I just eat the BSR tune since it's (supposedly) locked to the VIN. If you're in the Bay area and want to discuss this supposition, shoot me a PM.

I asked my friend at Henna here in Austin about it the other day, and nothing concrete so far to his ears either. The CARB cert is definitely encouraging though.

Here is the latest update on these stage kits.

The 19212670 is the part number for the manual transmission stage kit. Nobody will say whats in it, but horsepower goes to 315hp @ 4800 rpm.

No part number for the auto transmission stage kit yet. Horsepower will go to 290hp @ 5200 rpm.

And as stated by jookster somewhere around 2 months before they are released.

This information comes from GMSPO (GM Parts).

Stil nothing as of yet?

I asked my dealer (in Canada) to check on the kit and he responded that it wasn't ready "yet". Probably doesn't mean much, but at least when it does become available it looks like it will be offered in Canada.
