Yes
You won't get any codes.
In fact, your giving the ECM a 'tune', at the same time.
Stock LTFTs, (fuel trims), are Appox: +8 stock , and after adding the K&N pipe + filter, the LTFTs will now be close to 'O', yes , ZERO...
Your gaining 8HP, + giving the ECM, a 'tune', at the same time.
The more mods you have, this intake will help make more gains...

The stock COLD air system is A-OK, as is.
By adding the K&N pipe + filter, you have now created , an excellent COLD air system, for your HHR SS.

My last 3 times at the track, I've been in the 12.5s
This K&N intake system, is a BIG help getting there.

You can't go wrong with this system.
Next year I expect to be in the 11s with the addition of a ZFR.
And the K&N intake system will help me get there...

Yep, I think they would soil theirself, if they saw my modded CAI, with the functional hook scoop, and the very large, K&N/AEM filter.[So big, I had to notch bottom of the air box, a bunch.]
I'll have to switch back to stock looking when test time comes around. "Moon"
