for 300 bucks you could likely find someone with hptuners to give you a better tune it gain allot more then what the intake is claiming.

Naa, I tryed the filter 1st, & it was just as good as a larger 'paper' filter that I was testing out. Either did anything for throttle response, or anything else, maybe a little louder sound.

The intake pipe adds all the bang. It is all you need. put you can't get it by itself.

I'll sell you the new K&N lid, + a new unopened K&N filter for $150 shipped to you, if you want to try it out.

I wish
I'll been a HPTuner user for 6+ years & have maxed out what I can do with this software on my HHR, with the small amount of code that has been cracked. HPTuner is coming out with more tables soon...

3500lb HHR automatic running 13's is a-ok for me, for now..

wonder who will be making this "we will nick name j-pipe" in the near future......

For comparison, DSM's have all the parts made by all the major carriers....takes lots of research to find the best one at the best price. At some point, the first to market held it for a bit....until everyone found out how to legally copy it.

Thanks for the info and the offer, but I'm already running the K&N filter and don't want to shell out the cash for the kit if the pipe wasn't where the HP gains were coming from.

Anybody wanna buy a new K&N filter?

Rule Number 1. Don't listen to everyones negative. If you like it good for you. I don't see anything wrong with the Kit. They have been making good kits a lot longer than anyone.

OK and after the computer re-learns down the improvement, what did you end up with? Obviously meant to those who are stock....I agree,, its a bit much for what it accomplishes,,but if you have to have every gadget on the market..

There's a lot of mis-information on the LNF ECM reguarding this so-called
"learn-down" feature

I would rather call it "torque-limits" of the stock program.
The ECM wont let you exceed these limits.
Sort of like "traction-control" for your HP.

The ECM will "learn" the K&N intake improvement in a very good, positive way.
The rich LTFT will change from -8 to zero.:)
This is "learned", & will stay "learned" & won't be so called "learned-down" , this improvment to the LTFT will stay

I agree, I purchased the kit through Summit later on that same day. The biggest selling point for me was the cover that replaces the stock one ......................ok ok ok, but on a serious note, the new intake pipe going to the turbo is a much better design then the stock one that just chokes the air flow, plus the filter that is far superior to any paper filter and its an improvement no matter how you slice it. Plus the reported 9 HP gain was on a STOCK tune, so I wonder what it would be for a Staged HHR, maybe not that much more, but I would bet it would be 11-15 HP
