man I hate incomplete threads like that. Kinda scary actually. Wish I could get in touch with this guy to see if he ever had it dyno tuned. I think I read the clutch thread and it was inconclusive as well.....

The bright side is that I can use some of this as ammo at the dealership.

Doesn't sound like he was doing the work himself so that is a plus. If he didn't break anything, this car with a good tune will be fast as hell. Well fast as far as 2 liter turbocharged breadboxes on wheels go

Oh no. Tell me you didn't say "breadbox".

Just kidding. Hope everything works out.
So. Have you actually bought this one or are you still pending?

Have not purchased it yet. I have someone coming to look at my current car tomorrow. If all goes well I will be able to buy the SS and have some cash to get a good tune done and put a grand in the bank.

Where in Indiana is this? I was looking for one and found one through a dealer at one of their other lots. I never got a chance to look and decided not to even pursue it because I had a young salesman and he got in touch with them for me, for one thing they listed it but never posted a pic, it was taking for ever. This is when the salesman called and the guy told him it was in the shop STILL! He told my salesman I prolly wouldn't want it anyway, the price was pretty low for an 08 and it was black with I'm thinking 116k or so. Said it had a lot of issues, for the price..I was thinking something had to be wrong and they would have to drive it a good ways to the lot I was close to.
