Maybe on a dyno that reads too high. A stock LNF with 30psi cant do 315whp, maybe over 400wtq with a clutch, but the stock turbo with all stock parts just wont support the HP. The stock turbo just doesnt have the efficiency needed for that.

I'd love to know what exact mods that 440hp GTO had done... Was that an ls1 or 2?

I can not wait to get the mods done on my HHR and then go play with my guys GTO at the track, and with my friends stock 06. :)
the supercharger one was a 5.7 with bolt ons. keep in mind it was very hot.

the 440hp guy said he had cams, heads, intake, exhaust, and tune. it was a manual.

Yeah I guess heat might make that much of a difference. I know those things heat soak like crap at the track. lol

Honestly the 5.7 - 6.0 is not much difference if you do the M6 5.7 va A4 6.0 (been there done that as the 6.0 and lost) Do you know which the 440 hp one was? This thread is giving my husband many bad ideas adding to his Mod list.

Stock turbo will got to no more then 350whp then it runs out of breath. Why would you boost it to 30psi?? You trying to destroy your ringlands????

No, im just proving a point, even with 30psi it wont happen. I am only HP tuned with a downpipe and no pill currently. Looking at 22-20psi until redline.

sorry jaxson,i have to disagree with you. MANY cobalts are 330ish-350's on the stock turbo. i honestly don't think i'm 341...maybe 325-330ish.

My vote is around 315 whp. take your HHR SS to a Dyno jet dyno and see what you get (should read higher then the Dynocom) or find another Dynocom and compare.

I wasnt saying stock turbo, yes the stock turbo will do that, no doubt in my mind. I'm saying a STOCK cobalt/hhr with a tune only wont do it. Thats what was posted up, or atleast how I read it. I know someone whos in the top 5 hp on stock turbo personally and his car has spanked alot of 112+ trap cars even though his best trap is 110 so far.
