Next up Meth injection

As the title says, next up Meth injection June.

Vince recommended it for my next mod since I'm staying on the BNR 2871 turbo. He says I have more then enough fuel but I am just faintly picking up light counts of knock, thus the Meth inj recommendation so he can advance timing, etc.

I'm either going to get a Devils Own stg2 3 map bar sensor kit, Devils Own DVC-30 Stage 2 (can add a wanring light to a float with this one) or the AEM kit.
I'm leaning towards the Devils own kit, all kits have the pros/cons.

Since I have a ZZP MAF relocate (MAF to close to TB for nozzle), I will be drilling, welding and installing the nozzle in the intake manifold after the TB for the nozzle.

After doing some reading from vendors about nozzle location, the manifold actually yields the best results with a meth/water mixture then any other place, yes even the intercooler pipe.

Its because the droplets are actually bigger going into the combustion chambers. The only thing to be careful of is not over injecting (more then youc an use), which results in puddling.
In the intercooler pipe there is a tendency for the meth mixture to get stuck to the IC pipe walls and not all of the mixture making its way to the combustion chambers.

It just so happens that the intake manifold is the only place available to me, because I was going to try and stick it in the IC pipe like everyone else has been doing.

I've got a meth kit installed on my HHR. Love it. I picked up my kit which is progressive from Alkycontrol. Julio is the owner and will take very good care of you.

South Be careful with the meth, one floating valve and a mis-fire and bye bye intake, maybe hood too. No fire but one hell of an explosion. Upping the fuel pump won't take care of the Knocks? Our injectors can handle a lot more flow than the pump provides.

I'm not running 100% methanol, 50/50 mix of Meth/water. You can't do nothing with the mechanical HPFP on the intake, that is the limiting factor in the fuel system right now, not the intake pump. Supposedly ZZP Performance is working on a mechanical HPFP uprade.

I was going to do 30% E85 mix to 93 Octane, but there is 1 E85 station within 20 min one way drive. Plus you have to plan your trips around E85 and mix it, etc. Roughly 30% E85 mix is all I could do with the bigger turbo before running out of fuel.
Its just easier to carry 1 or 2 one gallon jugs of Meth/water mix on trips or turn the pump off and switch over to a 93 Octane only tune.

I'm leaning towards a direct port injection system with the upgraded solenoid so each cylinder gets an equal amount of injection. The solenoid is to stop siphoning under vacuum, works way better then the inline check valve.

Just waiting to hear back from Devil's own on jet sizing, I'm thinking the .75 nozzles which is the smallest size they make is what I will have to use for direct port setup. I'm also waiting to see if they have anymore of the 4 cylinder upgrade packages left, direct port (showed out of stock)

When I was going to do a single nozzle after the TB they suggested a 5 nozzle and turning the pump down to 150 psi.

I was plan on having the system in and tuned by middle June, but I'm going out of town this week and then Vince is out of town till June 19th, so it will be end of June now till the setup is done.

By the way I'm installing a 2.4 TB, its 63mm, our factory one is 58 mm. Plus the 2.4 TB I have has a 6 pin connector just like factory, plug/play and tune ftw.
