Get a set of Pedders springs, and save yourself a bunch of money, and get better handing.
I was considering coilovers at one time, but after talking to a friend[many time SCCA autocross champ, and pavement racer], he told me to save my money, unless you got too much. On a street car it's a waste. I now run Pedders springs, and do a little track time, and they work real good. "Moon"
I mainly wanted them for ride height adjustment

So put them in, so you can tell us about them, I would love to go down, but can't do the bouncy thing.

1500$, 1000$, it's too much money. I totally agree with you moon, you have no regrets with them? Do you recommend them?

Have the Pedders Xa full coils, I love them, to consider them a waste on a street car I'd disagree. My car isn't a track slut, but I do enjoy a couple events a year and I personally enjoy the firm ride and dampening, as do my on&off ramp adventures.

I almost bought BC coilovers with my tax return but decided to save the money and put it towards performance instead. For what I can buy a set of drop springs for, I can use the rest of the money to pretty much finish my car with the performance mods I want.

Definitely not worth it unless you have the money to dump.

didn't like the gap in the rear. front is perfect. now,if i can get the back to level out, then it would be fine and no coils would be needed. i also would like the tightness the coilovers can give. to each there own. i'm back on stock rims and tires(imo, looks better) so the gap isn't too bad.

To me the greatest asset to the stock HHR SS is the ride. It's firm and controllable, but comfortable like no car I've ever driven, much less owned.

The only thing is the car looks kind of under tired or clunky at it's current height and I've tried HHR lowering springs from Tire Rack and only left them on for 2 days. I've got other cars that can keep my dentist in business just putting fillings back in.

So my question to anyone that's tried lowering springs or coilovers.

Is there ANY way to get the feel and comfort of the stock ride with a nice cosmetic drop?

Thanks in advance.

The Pedder coilovers have adjustable dampening. You can get the ride as soft or as stiff as you want or anywhere in between.
