I know some guys have never had any problems with the GMS1....but I wish I would have NEVER went that route. I've had nothing but problems with mine.

Anyhow...I also have a custom Trifecta Tune...which is awesome. It puts the GMS1 to shame. Vince know his stuff and is very good at tuning these cars.

And you say "a little more power"....with a custom Trifecta Tune....you will get more than a "little more" power.....the car turns into a complete monster when you engage the Trifecta Tune. Mine hit's 27 PSI when the Trifecta is engaged (when the car runs correctly)...and pulls really really hard.

Most of the guys (like me) went with the GMS1 because of warranty issues. I guess it probably depends on what your dealer is like....but with my GMS1 problems....the car has NEVER thrown any CEL. So...the dealer(s) refuse to look or fix anything under warranty. So...all in all....I could have went with JUST the Trifecta (and would have probably ran fine the whole time) and been in the same boat. Vince told me "if there is something wrong with the GMS1 Tune/Wiring...it will also affect the Trifecta Tune"...which is what is happening.

When I had my GMS1 installed the newer "plug and play" harness wasn't available. If it were...I would just go back to 100% stock and just have my Trifecta Tune. BUT...without the plug and play harness...the dealer had to cut and splice in the new MAP sensor connectors. So now...I'm unable to go back stock without replacing the entire engine harness.

But for real....the Trifecta Tune is worth every dime. Plus...if you add anymore aftermarket parts...Vince only charges $75.00 for a retune

i work at a dealership so warranty isnt an issue. oh man, that seems like a nightmare. what is the trifecta tune like? apparently there is an onn and off switch for it? i dont think im adding any more performance parts except maybe some piping. what kind of power were you gaining with the tune?

Why don't you purchase new pigtails for the original sensors, change them out and then do the Trifecta reflash? That would be easier than the whole engine harness I would think.

I will be going with HP Tuners. Once I do my Supercharger install.
HHR and Cobalt guys seem to like HP Turners.

Because there will still be a splice.....it's really hard to trust any of the splicing that has been done (even though it's been soldiered too). The reason I would want a new harness is because there would be no splicing at all.

I've been running the Trifeca tune for two years now, and no problems what so ever. Car runs like "Jack the Bear" with tune engaged[I use cruise control button]. I did'nt go GMS1, because of all the problems guys were having, and the cost really would have been a waste of money. The Trifecta tune is stronger than the GMS1 tune anyway.
Just get a Trifecta tune, and you'll be happy, for sure. "Moon"

The Trifecta Tune feels like a shot of electronic nitrous

I've not had my car on a dyno yet....but I've been told by Vince that there is probably a 45-50 h.p. gain (alot more boost too)....JUST from the tune alone.

As far as activating it....it's your choice. You can either activate it by your cruise control button or the traction control (comp. mode) button. He can set it to either one.
