question about stage 1 cost
Tell your dealership you can get the kit online for 475 at gm parts direct. They might try to strike a deal. Mine did.
Agreed; I got mine form Crate Engine as well. Current price for the kit (P/N 19212670) at Crate Engine is $485.05 for the kit plus $12.95 S&H. Good customer service and they give you a shirt to wear.
GMPD has NO detectable customer service, so you better hope the order doesn't get lost. You'll be arguing with a webpage if it does. If the pricing is close, go with Crate Engine. It's good insurance.

The above post is why I said GM.. up yours, and went with Trifeica. More HP,can be turned off and on at will, and none of the hassle with the dealers crap. Trificeia is a lot better deal all around.
I know i'm gonna get some that will say different[just because they have stage 1, but I rode in a stage 1 tuned SS, and mine is a whole bunch stronger. for sure.
Also, don't have to worry about splicing problems, or clearance issues, and again the stupid dealer crap. Plus a lot more and cheaper price. Don't have to sing the stage 1 blues.
Thats my story and I'm sticking to it! "Moon"

I don't think two hours of labor is out of line once you add up all of the time. I originally thought it was way too long but I was wrong. If the tech is lucky there is enough wire on the lower map connector to work with. On mine, the tech said he had to unravel a fair amount of the loom and it still took two people to do it. - one holding each wire from the top so the guy at the bottom could crimp it. He said that even with the coolant tank moved you just couldn't get both hands down there from the top.
