stage 2 from gm, with warranty

meet a guy tonight who has an hhr ss. he said the upgrade involves getting your ecu shipped out and sent back modified. gm backed. he said theres another one for sale at ontario motor sales in oshawa, ontario with this same stage 2 upgrade. we had a 20 min discussion. he said there is a guy in ohio who has a shop at the back of a dealership where he can get you to 400 fwhp with stock turbo. we discussed ic and piping, exhaust, injectors, flywheel and some other stuff to get to the 400hp.

he said his car runs into the 100-105 c temp range no problem. if he doesnt use 94 octane the hhr wont run properly. forget about knock.

he said he will get me all the info

Scam if you ask me.

I call BS on 400whp on the stock K04, the best tuners right now for the LNF are getting around 360 whp on E85 tunes. (Being E85 tuned is comparable to being on race gas)

IF, by some chance in hell (which I don't believe is attainable) they did achieve that goal on the stock K04 , I bet the engine, turbo or both would be blown within 5k miles.

But to be frank, our stock K04 will not support 400 whp.

Hows that saying go, "Believe half of what you see and half of what you hear"

But if the half that you believe is a lie then you are really in trouble.

I too call BS. The cobalt crowd would have heard this rumor months ago and since starting rumors and talking smack seem to be their second hobby, I think some of us would have heard it somewhere else first.

This would not be a GM approved upgrade, if it is even possible, and there would definitely be NO warranty after the mods were done.

This has BS written all over it. HHRSSouth knows what hes talkin about. With the bigger wheel in the K04 and full boltons my friend just put down 330 on a mustang dyno and that was with a good tune.

400whp on a stock K04 makes me LOL

Oh and theres no such thing as a stage 2 for us
