Stage 2 kit.

As you might gather from my sig, I don't take "stage" designations very seriously. It's mostly a ricer term treated as if it had some objective meaning, when it doesn't. "Dude, I just installed a stage 4 muffler, and it's totally awesome." Kind of like the volume control knob from Spinal Tap. Within the realm of a certain manufacturer's product lineup, it may have some credibility in distinguishing more or less severe modifications of a particular product, such as ported cylinder heads, but mostly it's just a marketing buzzword devoid of any actual meaning.

However, I noticed that the Solstice crowd is referring to the turbo upgrade kit as a Stage 2. which makes a certain amount of sense if you consider Stage 1 to be stock. I believe the SRT 4 guys used the same protocol. We may be selling ourselves short here.

You say tomato I say tomatoe I consider stock to be stock. Stage 1 is the first step in modifcations IMO. Take Roush's Stage 1, 2, and 3 for the Ford Mustang for example.

srt-4 first year they came out belive in 03 had less power then the other years and with "stage 1" the were the same as the 04-05 stock srt-4 so basically 04 05 srt4 was a a 03 stage 1. Thats why they start at stage 2.... The cobalt and reddline started at stage1 and stage 2 was a add on to the kit. even though it was just ingectors a pully and relfash most in the communtiy didnt understand why it didnt come stock that way.. But take it how you want. ONe companies stage 1 is anothers stage 2.
gm stage 2= 3.1" pulley, belt, 42lbs injectors and relflash.
Rebel stage 2= 2.8 pulley, belt, hub , and 60lbs injectors
