Nice numbers. Can you also adjust stuff? Shift points and Rev? I'm not sure what kind of tuner this is.. Laptop?

Where is your data to back up your claim about the superchips tune?

Also, why do you try to scare people away from the superchips tune due to warranty issues then turn around and reccomend that people get the hp tune in other threads?

Why do you brag up the stage 1 upgrade yet you have a thread in the ss forum stating all the issues you are having with it?

why do you complain in this thread about the superchips tune voiding warranties yet you have mods in your sig that would void your warranty and you also make mention that you plan to get an aftermarket tune that will void your warranty?

That is quite hypocritical

Again, please keep this on topic, if you do not like the superchips tune then do not get it.

as for the hp tune, i did not get it because i did not want it. i do not go into hp tune threads and act like a little child and try to spread misinformation in them do I? Of course not.

Back on topic:

I am loving this superchips cortex. It lets me adjust shift points in the transmission, datalog, upload an economy tune for max mpg for trips, adjust my redline, adjust the speed limiter, adjust what psi i want it to hit before it shifts in each gear and many other features. it is very nice, especially for the price.

Again, if anyone that is INTERESTED in a tuning option give this one a look.

It is always great to have OPTIONS.

I will not be holding my breath on that data from camaro to back up his claim on the superchips tune lol.

I think Tom said this didn't he? Close...

After the Dyno, you might see that the Superchips Cortex tuner will be close to the Stage 1 tune.

Stage 1 claims 289 HP
Superchips Dyno above shows 281
Trifecta Tune 301 HP

Interesting.... Nuff said.

Stage 1 claims are at the crank I thought. The dyno I found here for stage 1 though (at the wheels of course) shows basically the same as the superchips:
https://www.chevyhhr.net/forums/show...7&postcount=35

The superchips dyno was in 95 degree temps

Do you have a tune specifically for the auto hhr ss? do you adjust the shift points, etc like the superchips tune? What is your tuning background? I know superchips has been in the business basically longer than anyone. The tune i have is specifically for the auto hhr ss. WHen I called trifecta he told me they had never tuned a auto hhr ss and he was not sure what the results would be and he also said he could not adjust the shift points, etc. Now that was a month or so ago but that is what he told me when i called trifecta.

as for "nuff said..." what does that mean exactly? That is not very professional. I did not want to raise the hp to the point that my fwd econobox would be unreliable and start breaking parts on. it does that enough stock lol. that is why i went with this tune. well that and the fact you can flash back to stock, adjust shift points and have the option of a economy tune for max mpg, do you off that too?

Why the hostility over the superchips tuner option for these cars? I know competition can be scary but wow.

till this day,i still say they are all the same. the difference is price. the whp numbers are for people to feel good about themselves imo. it's where you are making the power is what matters. for some reason,ALL cobalts dyno higher than the hhr with any tune. still scratching my head on that one. dyno a hhr then post numbers. superchips is just another company that figured out how to put the tune on the car and they are able to market the product at a reasonable price. i'm not butt hurt over how much i paid for the hahn, but i have not had ANY problems to date relating to the tune and it's coming up on a year at the end of the month. superchips gets a thumbs up from me. gm tune is the most headache out of all the tunes. like someone else said. so what about warranty with a gm tune, you're going to void as soon as you add mods. i know of a member that this has happend to. again when your gm tuned car goes boom, don't post on here how they refuse to fix your car and it's taking too long.

Didn't have an issue with the Stage kit Kid. You're the one in ever other thread talking down the stage kit. You also don't know the difference between a 2 bar and a 3 bar Map sensor which the stage kit gives you.

I don't care what Tune anyone gets either. HPTuner is really the best one you can get. Superchip is just like Hypertech. The best tunes are custom tunes not crated tunes.

All the parts I have I have not installed and will not be installing the HPTuner until later. All the parts can be easly swapped back to stock parts so I will not void my warranty.

You, on another thread, blamed a stage kit for a turbo failing. Laughable!

I'm glad you like your Superchip. I perfer things that can be built upon which is why I got the stage kit. It's one of the safest because of the settings and parameters they give the computer and Turbo. I understand what these companies are doing to make more power. They raise a lot of table up on what ever they can to get more power. This is common knowledge for people that have used Tuners. That Increase MPG tune just leans out the fuel which isn't the best thing to do for a car. But you understand that right?

You get what you pay for. Have a nice day
