Trifecta Tune Installed

I installed the Trifecta Tune on my 2008 HHR SS today.

For some background, I've owned three vehicles with more than 400 hp and two cars that had nitrous for about 600hp of wheel pulling power.

The Trifecta Tune really makes these cars go. Smooth, streetable power that plants you in the seat and makes this car really fun to drive.

Great work!

I'm real happy with mine. Vince did me up in Nov. last year on my 09 SS, and his tune hauls the mail for sure. Sometimes hard to get it hooked in 1st and 2nd, but if it hooks, she's wicked quick. Over time the smile on your face never goes away. Makes you feel like a kid again[are'nt we all]. "Moon"

...make sure you have plans for new pistons if you try it...

You guys should try an hptune, or a combotune for that matter, if you think the trifecta alone is good. High boost isn't needed.

When you are ready to really get the most out of your car, gp to http://gatewayecotec.com/forums/index.php. Ryan, P&P Tuning does amazing stuff with on ecotecs. Canned tunes are okay, but nothing will beat a real-time tune. He's great to work with.

I've had a couple of cars get the real-time tune.

The Trifecta tune is really good. Very smooth and no issues. Also, you send Vince some data logs and he'll make any necessary adjustments.

I'm happy to give up 5 horsepower for a reliable, box tune versus dealing with the multiple tunes, surging, stumbling, etc. that normally comes with a real-time tune.

I've never had any sort of issues with a real time tune, if you have, whoever did the tune didn't take the time to do it right for driveability and wot. I've had a hp tune for 40k that I've mostly done myself. now I have a trifecta+hp tune from ryan at p&p(he is the man and has actually helped zzp with their 11.6 second cobalt when it was being tuned) he had a WICKED ln2 powered cavi, his wifes ln2 cavi is rear turbo and sprayed, and his daily cavi is a supercharged 2.4. its pretty crazy, my rpd pegs out at 25.5psi and is holding 20psi til after redline. need to turn it down until I get a new clutch as it just barely slips...

Yeah... the Trifecta tune works for sure. Did two passes on the Goodguys show autocross course a few hours ago, and it was a tire lighting boogie woogie, that impress a lot [read most V8's, included five or six pumped Vetts] of racers and fans. First run checking out course with TC on, ran a 36.012. Second run with TC & ESC off and running a little harder[but still not 100%] ran a 35.8 something. After first run have a few of the SCCA guys over looking at the SS, and they told me, once you get a few more runs under your belt[next time] this thing will be pretty quick for sure. I was only a second and change slower that two ZO6 Vetts, and the absolute fast time with a fully modded SCCA car was a 32 sec pass.
Well, the Goodguys autocross guys told me, "You definately need to bring this ride back next March, and we will create a class for it. You definately opened up some eyes with your two tune up runs." Only had time for two passes before they shut it down.
The ole Pedders and OTTP "Hardcore" rear bar, made ole 4 Play corner like a slot car during trailing throttle. Don't think I could use any more H.P., had hard time[to the delight of the fans ect.] hooking what I had up. 26 lbs boost sure is a hoot.
I'm going to be getting some pics, so will maybe post some soon.
This tape will now destruct..........BEEP! "Moon"
P.S. GuessI had a Senior moment, probably should have posted in the racing section, not to mention getting a little direrea[sp]of the mouth.
