Yup, Vince is back. He's answered my emails since the beginning of February.

I've actually gone back to my Superchips tune after having the Trifecta tune for a couple of months. The Trifecta tune feels a bit quicker at high revs, but it's not as smooth or responsive overall, at least on my car. I hope Vince and I can get it sorted out

Vince has not seen the ring issues so far, like it was said before about the higher HP.

What is being seen in all the tunes including the GM upgrade is latent heating issues surfacing. Remember this occuring with all of the tunes across the board.

More HP = more heat.

Could you elaborate on that or point to the link for discussion? I have had a good performing Hahn/PPC tune with about 30,000 miles since installing and have no problems (that I am aware of) and I really do drive it fairly hard every day. I was thinking about the Trifecta and a clutch upgrade at the same time, but wonder what the other issue are that you imply and what the potential cures might be.

This was a reply and I do not know what forum or Vehicle they were on. Remember Vince tunes a lot of different GM products. When I put a lot of the Tunes, meaning all the different types of Tunes are occasionally seeing this. Some of these are installing the high HP equipment. (meaning Big turbos and similar items)

Stands to reason. More boost-more pressure-more heat.
I don't think just a tune will cause any undue problems, as for a heat, but bolting on bigger turbo, the heat problem might [read will sooner or later] show up and cause problems. In those cases, more fuel and a good alky/water injection is the best bet.
Sometimes MORE, gets to be TOO MUCH, but again "You pays yore money, and you takes yore chances".
I'm keeping mine at 24 lbs. boost, to save the auto trans and other parts, and playing it safe. Still pretty quick. "Moon"
