Turbo

Is there a way without carrying the car to a dealer to see if the Turbo is performing efficiently?

I would say by sound and boost pressure....measuring air volume? I am not sure if a dealer would/could even do that

thank you.....are there any rules of thumb/average on Boost pressure...

This past winter I had something strange happen....was shifting thru the gears, getting down on it a little and heard a loud noise from under the hood...like a muffler had come loose, occurred. I thought I had blown something and pulled off the road, cut the car off and back on and it was running fine?? Has not happened since and was not sure if this was from the Turbo or not.....

If the boost pipe popped off, you would definitley notice it. The car wouldn't be running right.
You stated that it was running fine now and you haven't had any more issues so it won't be a boost pipe.
How much boost are you getting now? If a pipe was off, you wouldn't get any.

Unturned you should hit 12-17 psi depending on elevation and weather conditions.
