I don't think mine ever goes past 190...but then again it's cold here, and I don't drive that fast.

Hotest i've seen is 204
They can handle it. I had my old LT running 212-218 or so for a few hours when I used it to tow my motorcycle in 90 degree weather, a nasty 25 MPH headwind, and had the A/C on. It stayed in that range though and didn't rise past it.

I don't think this is a problem. If the fans are coming on and you aren't hitting over 230 you should be OK. Remember, a light will come on if it is truly overheating. GM no longer states at what exact temperature the fans will come on or shut off, because each vehicle will be somewhat different depending on all sorts of conditions. You have a 100K warranty so no worries.

I'm like everyone else 190-195.. If I'm stuck in traffic (A/C off), I've seen it get to 216 then the fan kicks on and the car cools down to 192.
