Have we seen a time slip or a vid from this guy yet? I don't doubt high 12's on the stock turbo are attainable but you would need a hell of a tune and slicks along with all the other bolt on's for sure. Not sure how our half shafts or clutch would handle multiple launches on these 2 mods alone on a 5 MT let alone an auto. Start adding solid, stronger tranny and motor mounts and something is bound to break. I thought the whole purpose of the detune of stock HP and TQ#s on the autos was to save the tranny?

...again I don't doubt it is possible and the owner may have had one of those freak runs where it actually happened but unless it is documented and done on a consistent basis I take it with a grain of salt.

.....and to keep it on topic, I am really looking forward to ordering a few parts from ZZP in the very near future. =) I just need to figure out if I wan drive the 2.5 hrs or have them shipped =P

I see alot of yall are hating on 2005HHRAuto about his runs and simple mods that he has but have any of yall seen his tune? From what I saw from looking at his file is his tune is very agressive in the cam and timing tables. His wastegate correction table was signicantly changed as well. Im more than sure with the tune that he has loaded into his lil breadwagon spikes out at 30psi at start then trickles down to 24-26 holding in that range throughout the runs. I am new to the lnf tuning but not new to hp tuners and from seeing what is changed I believe it may have been possible.

If it will boost 30, it would go that fast. Mine was doing that after my filter was changed, before it learned back to where Vince set it 25. It was much faster, and felt like a little too much for the running gear, big, big fun though. I'm sure it's possible to break 13 with the auto, once tuned they shift quickly. Summer is coming, tracks are opening, we could see it soon.

I think 30 lbs. of boost would play hell, with both the stock charge piping and intercooler end tanks, not to mention running gear. I have yet to believe, especially since it not even a SS. Sorry, too much smoke and not enough fire. "Moon"

I've seen the tune I believe in potential of tune
I dont believe in stock parts handling it. My stock charge pipe blew apart literally at 27psi, end tank later blew at same psi.
I look at it like this if it last all season it's reliable smart tune
If its one freak pass it's luck
I've looked recently at 15s all I've found do not even come close clearing my calipers.....
So I ran slicks on stockers and at my boost I was afraid I'd snap half shaft way car would launch
This season I will break 12s but my goal is continuous runs

I believe that 12's can be had, with some aftermaker parts[lots], a real good tune, and slicks, in a SS. Not knocking 12 sec. runs.
But what I'm hearing some far, a 12 sec. pass, in what I'm believing, is a 2.2 or 2.4 HHR [unless proven otherwise], with just a tune, a junk K&N air charger, and slicks, without a turbo, or more mods, is kinda hard to believe.
I have many years at the strip, and know a little about what it would take to run a 12 sec. number, and in this case, it's just not reality. Now if he wants to change his story, and list a bunch of mods[such as a full tilt race motor, and beefed up tranny and parts, and with dyno sheets for H.P. and torque, and a picture or two, of the car, and engine compartment, maybe I just might change my mind, maybe not. I'd have to see everthing he is actually running. So far what he's lead us to believe, just ain't happening, in my books.
With a auto, alone is suspect, without major beefing.
I say, and my last[hopefully]word on this, is put up or shutup. "Moon"

wow, you got into the 12's, cool story bro. there's more to life than going fast in a straight line, The Fast & The Furious is only a serious of movies and have nothing to do with real life. no one here owes you a 10 second car and no one here owes you any respect.

me personally, if i only want to go fast in a straight line i'll dump the HHR and pick up a LS1 f-body.
Off topic , I know, but you want real speed....buy a bike. My SS is fun, but my 2/3rds of a liter bike is quicker and faster (with better mileage). Now back to your original programming.
