HPT or GMTU will disable the ECM's "Learn-down" feature.. no more cutting it back from then on

BTW....I'm way happier with the intake now. I had the Trifecta Tune removed (reflashed my ECM with the GMS1 tune) and now I have NO codes at all. With Trifecta....I was getting nothing but P0101 and P2199 codes allllllll the time.

Good news Kissmy, with 24 on the stg1 seems like enough boost anyway, unless you are shooting for 12's.

How are you getting 24psi with the GMTU? The most I have seen with the GMTU is 20 maybe, usually around 19 or so. You must be right at sea level?

I've had 2 HHR SS cars...the first was a 2009 auto with GMTU. It ALWAYS booted OVER 20psi no matter what. Second is the 2010 5sp with gmtu. I rarely see anything above 20 psi. Why? I don't know. Tested for boost leaks but found none. with the way our ecm works, I can only come to these conclusions; the engine does not require that much boost because we are making better power the than others with gmtu that require more boost to reach the same torque numbers, or the latest software for our powertrain has more torque management restriction. Just guessing here. Sry I do not mean to side track this thread, but I've wanting to share tht for a while.

Damn, if i didn't get another CEL today. So, I followed my usual pattern and pulled the neg cable on the battery to reset it. This worked, so I thought. Just as I get home tonight, the CEL comes back along with....ENG PWR RDCD! uggh..I can't get it to clear.

You are in official limp mode! Better get a tune ASAP
I've read horror stories of damage caused by daily driving in limp mode

See my other thread, but this may not have anything to do with the intake. The code was/is P0087 - Low Fuel Rail Pressure. Its at the shop right now.
