Are we getting a little testy here, Joe S.
Seems everytime someone says something that you don't agree with, or seems a little negative to you, you throw a fit, and start running your mouth. ZZP fan boy? You betcha you are. Thats all we hear from you, ZZP this, ZZP that. I'm sure ZZP is a stand up company, but you go overboard with your praise, like some school kid, hot for teacher.
Just post your results, and keep the douchebag remarks, and the other snide remarks to yourself. They have gotten old already. "Moon"

I'm actually the most curious as to how the stock tune will handle this intake. I expect the learn down to take away any mods but I easily see this intake performing just fine on a stock tune without any idle or surging issues.

wondering if the filter is a K&N or an AEM? Really hoping for an AEM Dry Filter...not a big fan of the oiled filters...

My Dejon intake pipe performed just fine prior to tuning in terms of idle or surging. Now I'm sure the MAF readings were a bit out there, but I only threw a code with it once I had the generic budget tune loaded without logging, once dyno-tuned this became a non issue. Very possible this might perform just fine as-is, but I'd be prepared to tune regardless. Looks like you have a mod list ready for such.

Then see if you can buy just the pipe and get your own filter

If you deal with trifecta make it clear to Vince what your goals for car are etc. he safety nets his tunes to protect his own ass from idiots but once you show true interest he opens opus more tables and removes babysitter nets lol

I'm going to "guess" it's a K&N as Ryan had no problem running them on these cars. Shawn you know I have an AEM as well, but I believe for fitment sakes this is actually smaller than our cones we have now.

Honestly depends....
If oil filter maf reading could be thrown off badly even to surge
If dry filter I don't see an issue

Either case you could drive on it but learn down will nanny any gains
Anyone that's actually data logged LNF has seen this happen

so in other words, you will have to tune for this mod. if you don't,you will more than likely get a cel and maybe not get the full potential of the mod. is this correct??? if so, i will wait to see what others are getting. $280.00 is too much for the unknown. not knocking, but would like to see some results from zzp r&d.

i'm looking for/want an intake that is truly "bolt on" and not have to tune for. i really don't want to pay $280,then gonna pay some more money for vince to tune it. can't do that right now.
