Well KN system ranges from 210 to 260
So I see zzp being well within this range!

Correct me if I'm wrong the K&N kit doesn't consist of much beyond a plastic tube, OE style filter, and lid and utilizes the existing box-

Not knocking it, saying comparison wise I think the ZZP unit offers more, as in a custom fabricated powdercoated aluminum tube utilizing an OE mounting point and getting the filter away from the engine as much as possible, the upgraded silicone piece off of the turbo which is custom formed as well, and a high quality filter.

Just saying I don't feel the K&N price point is a fair comparison although would be competitive, note their Regal intake offering is $324.99.

Guess we'll see as I don't have a clue on pricing at this moment either!

I know I want this in my engine bay though .

is it going to be cold air intake? like a heat shield from the engine or is it out in the open like most other intakes for our cars?

these guys make one for our cars too, but its pretty expensive, but it looks like the best COLD AIR intake that is made for us

Unless ZZP offers a heat sheid and far superior gains then it will just show/prove once again factory setup rocks....
So to your lid, tube etc comment so far that has proven to work best FYI so yes I think it's very fair comparison!

I'm no fan boy of any company. I love what ZZP does, Matt and Steve always answer my emails and calls

Oh and FYI I can powdercoat a **** load of parts for cheap so that doesn't impress me by any company :)
Test results do cause I know ZZP won't skip results

Heat soak is my main concern as it was downfall of Dejon and CIA versions

I've went through this pissing match here before, but their upgraded intake tube alone off the turbo over the factory plastic piece picked up 12whp on my HHR. Not going through this again here, with my current Dejon my filter is on top of the coolant cap where their tube will place it further out.

Congratulations you can powdercoat! Many on here do not have that luxury, beyond that I was comparing to a molded plastic piece utilizing an existing OEM part, not questioning your ability nor how something caters to you.

You can be a douche all you want, but I don't base my posts off of bias opinions nor do I build my cars off of bull****, I promise that.
