Normally I average around 27MPG with a 50/50 mix of city/ highway driving.
Thanks again, that's great info. Did you have the GM turbo upgrade before the ZZP tune or just the factory tune?

Factory tune prior to getting the ZZP tune. I really hadn't planned on doing many engine mods, but found the tune for cheap on Black Friday....and its been a non stop spending spree since. I've got new charge pipes, intercooler, rotated trans mounts, and a new clutch just sitting around the house waiting for spring to finally show up here in MI.

One thing I've noticed with my zzp tune that's kinda interesting is when it shifts from one gear to the next I'll pick up hp and boost(from 20 to 25lbs and goes from 280 to 325 on the hp/tq gauge). Which only makes sense considering rpm drop from the shift. How this will affect the trans Over the long run is my only concern.

.
The boost should taper down a little towards redline anyway. These motors aren't really high rpm screamers, more made for a low/ midrange punch where the power is more useable on a day to day basis. If you want all the power up top, go buy a Honda. I'll take my SS with low end torque any day (although my trans WILL die a painful death someday because of it) lol.

While stock and slightly modded yes they're low/mid monsters but with a turbo swap and valve train upgrade makes it absolutely scream up top. By no means am I saying how it is stock is bad. I was just stating that after the boost dies off in the upper end of the rpm range all that is is the turbo running out of steam. Then the rpms drop and the boost comes on hard again. I love the power these cars make just not the 30 or so hp and tq slams that come with shifting gears it just makes me nervous lol I'm not out to blow up my trans. A bigger turbo should solve the issue lol.
