Page for all the 2.2 guys who want the 2.4 manifold. There is a dyno in there, somewhere. I don't think it's worth it. You other guys chime in.

Here is the dyno run of the 2.4 manifold. The author states that it has a tune as well.

It claims a 13.12 HP gain, but the Cobalt tested also had the GMPP intake and exhaust. Also notice the peak HP jumps from 5500 rpm to 6300 rpm.
Now, if you can get away with picking up a used manifold someplace and getting a tune at a good price, it may be worth it. But that's a lot of $$$ for really just a small gain.

The intake stalls out, that much seems very apparent. Also is apparent is the text car has some supporting mods so be prepared to spend some $$$. Personally I'd troll some junkyards first to see what I can get for one.

So, I managed to get hold of a NIB 2.4 manifold kit from someone who never got round to fitting the thing, and I've spent the afternoon swapping the manifolds over into my 07 LS 2.2. When it comes to fitting the MAP however- it doesn't.
I've heard it can be drilled out to fit the factory MAP but since it's back on the car and the injector rail is in the way, that would necessitate having to remove the *&%(# thing again and I'm still bleeding and have a sore back from doing it the first time. And I'm not really keen on drilling haphazardly into my new manifold.
From searching parts online it looks as though the 06 model year had a smaller MAP than subsequent years and I'm wondering can I buy one of those, or fit one from a 2.4. Does anyone have a solution to this, or will I be left with the wrong plug connector?
Or am I going to have to bite the bullet and get the drill out...?

update: drilled the MAP mounting hole and now everything seems to work fine! After many bruises and much swearing. Car noticeably louder and I think there's a marginal gain in performance. For the outlay, probably worthwhile, but only since I got the kit cheap.
