bringing this up again, i grabbed a 2.4 mani and tb from a cobalt..im hoping it should fit since prety much same engine..is a tune necessary for the manifold as well or just the tb? I have an 08 hhr, am i going to have the same problem as never2many with the map sensor needing to be moved?

wtf how do you get this damn thing outa the engine bay? there is no friggin room to take it out! help! ive been at this all morning..

did you ever get your answer? also while doing this did you swap out to the 2.0tb? little wider then the stock 2.2tb and from what i understand they are same pin pattern.

Just took mine off as part of the sc build, and the gm manual says to take off the fuel rail.
Also I found it helpful to remove the two studs along with the nuts, gives more room to slide the manifold in and out. I dont have the proper external torx socket for the studs, but a standard 7/32 socket worked, they werent in that hard.
The injectors on the other hand, were a b!t&&& to get out. Id try removing the studs first, might get by the fuel rail. And dont forget the brake booster hose by the oil filter.

i ended up snapping the break booster quick connect off the mani lol
but the manifold that i picked up didnt even have that quick connect on it and it was from an 06 ss cobalt..so i gave up

Cobalt ss has brake booster hose on throttle body, gotta change the hose to reach it.

A hint: The 2 top outside bolts need to be pulled out, then you have enough room the rotate and jiggle. The other bolts are captured.
