It will work, but if its from a cobalt you will need do a little more, as hhrfreek said. Also be aware the LNF exhaust will be much louder on a non-turbo engine. I know a couple that have done it, they weren't happy with it.

my plan was to add a resonator as well...but by that time I would have too much money it in and time...

nice project and hope you get it all worked out
the cx racing heat exchanger works well w HHRs better than the stock one. easy to plumb and easy to install.
