the all important question: does this (or any aftermarket intake system) void the warranty?

I've never had it be an issue when I take the car in for routine maintenance. But have kept everything in case I ever needed to put it back on.

Hasn't really increased/decreased my mileage. i just like the way it looks and sounds.

Just "ordered" mine today. Got it from a fellow member for $165 so hopefully it won't take too long for it to get here

Lessee..filter at about $35 to $50..pipe at $2.45 ft and a welded bung...maybe $125 to $150...but $225-$250?? Yeah I know..Dyno time..trial and error stuff....but consiering the most obvious problem would have been the bung location( which was probably matched from stock). And after the first one is made? Outsourced for an even better return....but,such is life..........

I bought my CGS off of a member here for $75. My filter was a little beat up so I replaced it with a smaller and higher quality K&N one which works perfectly. I also later added the CGS cat back muffler from www.streetpros.com. Great combination and great sound.

I didn't see much of a performance or mpg improvement from the intake. However, the muffler was good for a small low end increase in performance and about 2 mpg. Now if I could make the muffler quit squeaking.

Do you happen to know the part number of the smaller filter you got?? Just got my intake a few weeks ago (used) of course. The filter is a little beat up also, no big deal, but just would really like the smaller filter. If

I bought my air filter directly from the K&N web site.

Part #SN-2540. It will say it's for a snowmobile engine but don't worry it is a perfect fit. Just a little smaller. I think it was like $49.

Got mine in and installed yesterday. The only hitch I had was tryin to shove the filter in between the engine, washer reservoir, and fender. Other than that, I think I spent more time running back and forth trying to find an allen wrench for the MAF than I actually did installing it.

Looks good u need to put the filter down the area first then put the tube on it's easy that way see my MAF was pulled tight i had to zip tie it to my fuel rail lol if i was u put your hand under the filter and see if your touching the motor mount the best way to fix that problem is pushing the filter all the way up.
