Several guys have put them on the 2.2L..... haven't heard of any problems.

I would think you'd get a better price on line than at the local dealer though.

Any pictures of what this looks like? Does it replace the ugly thing on top my engine? And, if I may ask - what is the cost? thanks much - kip

Me want.... and my car wants too! Just kinda pricey, so I just have to think about this before they're gone.
This would just look great if the local engine plant does an open house/show this year. After all, this is where my engine was made, why not let it be seen.

my .02 I think insulating the inside is a plus..Something like dynamat or hushmat..Keep the steel box a bit cooler & quieter..
I agree. Add some sort of insulation to the inside of the box. Also, place the C.A.R.B. sticker on the inside of the box.

I am going to go ahead and order one for my 2011 2.4. I love the way it looks and any boost to milage would be great. Do we know if there are issues with the CAI not fitting the 2011 2.4? Also is there a wrap or something for the wooly sock to keep the air cooler? Looking forward to this upgrade.

briand-

My GMPP CAI landed here slightly pre-owned.. I did re-locate the C.A.R.B. sticker to the underside of the lid. Out of sight, but still easy to show if there was ever a need to..

Insulation:
Now after studying my box, I'm gonna insulate the exterior underside 12"x 12" floor.... IMO better to repel radiant heat before it heatsoaks the steel floor, plus the DryFlow* filter is on the floor, it's that big.. I am gonna use Thermo-Tec* self-adhesive Heat Barrier. I will do the inside (but) 'side walls' only..That is mainly so the insulation won't be readibly visable...

Silver11-

I don't think you would have a problem adding one on to your 2011 2.4L, your Local Dealer should be able to confirm this for you..

"Also is there a wrap or something for the wooly sock to keep the air cooler?"

Yes many places have insulation wraps for the wooly worm.. Just google it,
Jegs, Summit & many others have wraps & some are lace up kits..
