i read everything on their site. they claim that by putting vaporized fuel into the intake , this will cause the o2 sensor to give different info , and send less fuel to the injectors. i am not saying this won't work , but i do not understand how. wouldn't taking your foot of the pedal do the same thing -send less fuel. but they are saying it would be a different ratio , so maybe it would not be the same. i thought that the o2 sensor was/is in the exhaust , if so , then would it get a different reading. i don't know. i am just discussing this with myself. also i can't find that post , so i can ask the guy who has one about it. the site states that someone tested one on a hhr and got 39 mpg , up from 31mpg.

i would pay $299 for that little pile of hardware if it would give me 8mpg gain. they do not give refunds. but they will replace the $10 worth of hardware that they want $299 for. i even thought about offering them $30 for it if they would give me free shipping.

if you think about it all you are doing is putting the same amount of fuel into the system. the computer is going to be putting less fuel to the injectors to stay within stoich. that little doohickie is just adding fuel to the system and the computer is compensating for it. i see no reason your mpg would get better.

Thanks catdaddy137, I cant find the post I saw it in either. What about this, take your fuel injector out, roll o-ring off and put a fine screen cap over it with 1/8" away from tip roll o-ring back on replace injector, wouldnt this do the same thing?

are you talking about the 4t40 auto thats in the 2.2? a trifecta tune should do the trick and beef up the performance as well a little.

a clean injector should be able to do this without a mod like this.

Thanks Masterchief1112, The dealer told me it was 4T45E or MN5, yes auto trans. Seems like the Trifecta tune is the way to go. The reason I asked about the screen cap over the injector is it seems like it would atomize the fuel better. We use a system where I work with water and 1500psi with screen cap over injector tip and it makes almost a vapor cloud. I thought it might work with cars too. Sorry it took so long to reply.
