Question Heads
Do the 2.2 and 2.4 have the same heads?? If so can we use 2.4 cams?

Depends on if the engine has individual coils on each plug like the 2.4 (Gen II) or a coil pack and cassette (Gen I). The 2.4 is the Gen II block and only the 2.2 made midyear-07 through 08 uses that block.

can we switch the 2.4 head completely for the 2.2 head like stroker motors do. i have a 07 with individual plug coils. so i fall into that late year 07-08 block

Not to threadjack too much, but does anybody have a pic of the top end of their 06 2.2? I'm curious as to how the ignition systems differ, appearance wise.

Probably. But you're going to have to either switch out some electronics or do some reprogramming and calibration.

Why would you want to lose the VVT anyway?
