Thumbs up

That is kick-@ss then. Because that means freeing up the exhaust side in combo with this intake manifold could mean an additional 5 - 10 hp on top of the 15 - 20 if the injectors can keep up.

thats the prob though. The fuel injectors. Only way to help with that on a 2.2 from 06 would be an aftermarket piggy back system like the AEM FI/C or SMT6

Who was looking for GMPP exhaust? What dyno? The cobalt site was looking for someone with a GMPP to test this manifold?

You do know that this is a convorsation about the 2.4 liter intake manifold on a 2.2 engine right? Cause I just want to make sure!

When they were getting ready to do the dyno tests they were looking for a 3rd party car to put the manifold on for the test. Plus i don't think this is really that great of a mod for a HHR. It makes more HP at higher rpm but the hhr weights more than the cobalt and i would much rather have the low end power for now.

Just depends on what you do. I don't care how fast I can leave a light. Plus all they lost were 6 horses and thats not even a big enough difference to feel let alone make any change in power or how your car accelerates.

mostly i dont' think its a bad idea but i'll wait until a programing option is available (if ever) before i try and stuff a ton of air through the motor.

I'll end up using the AEM FI-C and use some stock SC Cobalt injectors for my setup. And just use a wideband to adjust the A/F for a decent NA setup. Later this will all add to the benefits of a turbo (which is what I am ultimately aiming for).

no. Not Alpine. Going with a custom setup. I have a friend thats selling me the manifold and turbo from a Saab 2.0t that uses the ECOtec. Internally wastegated at 8psi and small enough to have very little turbo lag. Going to use a top mount water-air intercooler and mount the water reserve tank in the hatch where the spare is now. short piping and nice intercooler allow for better IAT's and less chance of boost creep or loss of psi. We have everything thought out. Just piecing the basics together now and purchasing everything else at tax time. So, this time next year I'll be turbo'd and running with our buddy's SC car.
