Are there any warranty issues with adding any of these cai's? My dealer's "resource person" made a big deal about adding accessories during the buying process. Does it really improve HP and provide a more pleasing growl?

I had a 2005 Mustang GT and although I know my HHR (which I love) will never sound like that, it would be nice to get some throatier sounds out of it.

I have an Airaid intake too, I went to Amsoil dealer and bought a "oilless" cone filter (just vacume clean) just incase the oil from the kit filter might fogg the air sensor. This can happen when the filter is cleaned and Re-oiled. It's hard not to get too much oil on the filter
I have an '07 Panel, Victory Red, 2.4 Lt, use Castrol "Edge"/NAPA Gold filter, "Monzari "Inferno"s,chrome roof rack, Billet aluminum running board caps (HHR Boutique), 4" exhaust tip, '08 Cobalt SS/TC rear springs (levels out the stance),retro style hand painted pinstripping (shades of reds and mild yellows), Billet (bars) upper/lower grilles, full bra (for highway travel only), various polished interior trim (speaker rings etc.). You know the old saying, " He who dies with the most toys WINS!!", well I may not have the most (yet) but I'm sure still in the race.'Lil Red Wagon in Spokane, Wa

What about AEM Brute Force do they make a CAI for the HHR? I have looked with really no luck, keeps coming back to cobalt. I had one on my silverado and really liked the fact of not having to oil the filter. It does look an awful lot like the Cgs or whatever, anybody know for sure if they make one for the HHR and if it's anygood or not?

If you will cut the foot out of a pair of panty hose and place over the filter, then you won't have to oil it at all or wash it as often.

I have one on my '07 Panel and the added noise is to be expected. I didn't notice a huge improvement in power. I did tale the oiled filter off and put in an Amsoil "Blue" non-oiled one. Every 3K ya take it out and vacume the outside and re-install. I'm just trying to avoid oil misting the mass air sensor.

An under hood view of my K&N with custom paint on just about everything can be seen in my Gallery, just click on the camera icon. The CIA install is not a warranty issue unless you over oil (saturate) the filter medium. I find that using a "pre-filter" made from the foot area of a pair of my wife's panty hose does the same thing. Also, a K&N kit such as mine isn't very loud. However the K&N "Typhoon" unit that fits the 2.2L is loud as hell. I installed one of those on my son's 08 Cobalt this weekend. BTW, it may just be me, but that Cobalt has alot more "spunk" than my HHR.
