Edge

I just finished watching Two Guys Garage on the Speed channel, and it featured a product called 'The Edge'. They installed it on a Ford pickup. It simply connects the the plug used to check the car for codes, and can be used to program EVERYTHING from shift points to rev limiter to perfomance stages. It also checks for codes, as well as monitoring performance with 1/4 mile times, 1-60 times, and reaction times! It is easy to program, and can increase HP by 40 to 150 on the Ford V8. Certainly, it wont be that dramatic on our little 4 bangers, but if it could add 40 or 50 HP, it would make it quick as the Cobalt SC (in the 14's at the dragstrip). What I really like about the Edge is that you can quickly change the settings as needed.

I emailed them to see if they have any plans in the works or in the future. They only make truck stuff, but some people consider the HHR a small truck, right?

Most of their products are for diesel engines.

I saw it too.... They are getting into the gas engine market as well. I would be willing to bet that there will not be anything produced by them for the HHR. They are looking to market to the true truck market. I know GM really wants to look at this thing as a truck, but PLEASE! This is nothing like my Crew Cab Chevy.

I just got an email from them. They have no plans to make anything for our engine, but are working on something for the bigger GM gas engines.
