The current sensor really only controls the charging. If it has anything to do with this I'd be surprised.

He is saying that there is power from the battery to the fuse box, but no power to the fuses.

I read that, however there has been a video or two where the current sensor can get fried while attempting to jumpstart the battery, this in turn tells the BCM sweet little lies, and then the BCM stops talking to the starter or ignition system.
I just thought it might be the problem and did not see where it had been attempted. Unless that was an acknowledgment in post #32.

and on a side note the Chevrolet C10 ran till 1988, the C1500 replaced it.

Just goes to show how much of a Chevy guy I am. For all of the folks that think I'm a Chevy shill.

Make that most GM vehicles built this century. And probably since 1996. I have seen the same box in a lot of different cars. Yes, the part number is based on the mapping and stickers, if they are different. I do know that a new one comes populated, I assume with empty spots where they are supposed to be empty.

Installed the new fuse panel today. Still have the same problem. But now I have voltage at the relays I needed to check before. So I believe this is progress.

Still no communication with the ecm. My scan tool says cannot confirm vehicle is on. But it does power up and try to connect when I plug it in.

The books I’m using are 2009 gm a/suv service manuals. They indicate that the reason my vehicle won’t start is because of a total loss of the high speed GMLAN communication. Caused by a short between the (+) high speed circuit and the (-) high speed circuit. Or a internal module malfunction. I just need to find that malfunction.

I think this is what you need. The VCIM is the OnStar module if you have one.

Have the ignition related recalls been performed?
