Should I install a chip or resistor?
Install a better cold air intake 1st or a chip?
Exhaust should be fine as it is 2 1/4".
2007 LT 2.4 auto trans.
I'm new at using forums so I hope I can find any response! ragtop

Those chips don't work especially if you mean the ones that are advertised on top of this page.

Those "chips" do nothing....I had one (voice of experience)...tune or ZZP cams is a better option.....I wanted more power out of my 2.4l and traded it in for a SS...

some members have supercharged (M62 from the cobalt sssc) their LS/LT models, but its not cheap

Badass is right if you want real power get a SS, it's really kinda mind blowing how strong they are. However if you just want to pep up your 2.4, Trifecta tune and a K&N intake made a noticeable difference for mine..

SS,

What level of tune did you do? Was it an automatic?
What Octane fuel are you using?

Whats the level of benefit of the K&N intake?
I have read several posts that state the stock intake side is adaquate with just a tune.

I am referring to my 2.4. But I have K&N intakes on both.

I just asked Vince for a tune, it included auto tranny changes. Did them both the same day, I'm sure the K&N looks and sounds better. You are probably right all the gains on the SOP dyno came from Trifecta.

oops I found that regular runs the same and gets the best mpg too.
