Timing chain guide is worn out, my 2.2 sounded similar until I changed the timing chain and guides . I'd also recommend changing the balance shaft chain and guides, there are many kits on EBay that will include even the waterpump, while your in there and got your hands dirty change the water pump too.

Thank You Oldblue.

Slowly i am starting to see what has to be done (unfortunately) . Logistics and finance director will cut off my head with a blunt spoon All of us will die, somehow

Thats how i see it:
I will need that - 00-11 GM 2.0L 2.2L 2.4L Engine Timing Chain Kit Balance Shaft Set Water Pump L61 | eBay m i right?

that - For 06-16 GM Intake & Exhaust Camshaft Position Actuator Solenoid 2.0L 2.2L 2.4L | eBay

this fella - Stant 14698 Engine Coolant Thermostat fit Buick LaCrosse 10-12 L4 2.4L 2384cc | eBay

Of Course if i've made a mistake in those parts, please fell free to straighten me up.

When i'll finish with that, and the coolant leak will be there where he is now. Then i will start to think what's next.

If i miss sth let me know please.

Oh btw look what i found when i tried to get some specific information about my car:
3GNDA53P08S610822 Chevrolet HHR 2008 - VinDecoderz.com is a free VIN number lookup and vehicle history report provider# I wonder if those are real information. Best part on Campaings and issue ID

Again, thanks to all of you for your help

A big no on the Stant thermostat

Stant 14698 Engine Coolant Thermostat fit Buick LaCrosse 10-12 L4 2.4L 2384cc | eBay

This is the AC Delco thermostat, it will open within the time frame the computer is set for and doesn't have the rubber ring in it like the Stant does.

If it were me, I might diagnose the coolant problem before I put money into buying other parts. You may decide, with all of the problems, to replace entire engine.

All of yours have been performed.

4 of the "campaigns" are really one fix the "ignition recall". The "locks" recall was a piece they mailed to owner to stick on the dash compartment latch. The other "airbag" applies to cars without side curtain air bags, they put some padding in the headliner where the airbag would be.

Those "issues" are all of the wacko reports to NHTSA from people unhappy with GM service.

Sometimes, too much information is a dangerous thing.

However, you do have a couple of "special extended" warranty items i.e.: Power steering and transmission interlock.

Thanks for corrects Oldblue. Other parts looks fine to You?

RJ_RS_SS_350 - i know what you mean when the cost will be higher than buying new engine i will do that for sure. If i will find one

Donbrew - thanks for info. I cant find there any info about what was done or not. Anyway there were no sales of hhr in Poland and i think chevy, opel etc will wash hands clean, im sure of that. Theres no reason to put steam on that

The car is an Opel/Saab. They built Saabs in the same factory. Opel designed the engine. Opel must honor warranty claims.

One of the links in my post is for your car. There are no outstanding recalls on your car, which means they were done.

If your power steering goes out or your key gets stuck in the ignition you are covered by GM/Opel.

If any work was done by a GM service department the Opel dealers computer should be able to find it.

Hi everybody :)
Im still with my HHR. Last problem's end with engine swap ;(
I want to do some work and i have questions about parts.

I want to change:
Clutch and timing chain.
Some links:
Chain: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...41024&jsn=1858
Clutch: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo...41024&jsn=1856
Water pump: Product Detail
Do You think it is a good choice? Maybe there is a better option?

Those will do, but didn’t you change the timing chain when you swapped the engine?
and while you’re changing the timing chain and water pump , change the balance shaft chain
