Congratulations on your purchase ! All I would recommend is that if you choose to Turbo your 2.4 and want to call it an SS don't post it under the SS Forum / Thread! You'll never hear the end of it !

i'd love to... only it has to start with turbocharging the engine. as to why i'm on here in the firstplace. i may have to flip this one for an SS if my options are too limited.

 

I've given this a lot of thought--turbo my 06 2.4l w/5 spd or trade up to a SS. I'm about even as far as money owed versus trade-in allowance, but with putting a turbo kit on my 06, I'll also have to invest in an LSD (torqe steer is already a problem with this car), short-throw shifter and unknown costs for suspension upgrades. I think I'm pretty set in getting an SS, but if someone can sway me, I'm open for suggestions.

 

You'd think they'd step up and GIVE you the turbo kit for free considering they've had your car for almost half the year and showed it off with their decals at the Chicago Auto Show. As if they'd actually done anything to it at all.

Hope things work out for you, Mike. I'm sure with your people skills, you'll find something good fairly quickly.

 

i'm still confused...do they(Hahn) or don't they have a turbo for the 2.4?

 

Looks as though they make a system for the 2.4 but have not fitted one to the HHR as of yet !
