That's the thing. And when you have already invested this much time, not to mention cash, it's tough to say "Screw it, just give me my car back!". It might take as long to put it back together and it would to finish it, plus my car would be gone for eight months for no reason.

This has been the most frustrating, maddening experience I've ever had with my HHR. And I've had a few!

That really does suck and it not painting a very pretty picture of the company at all. At least if they ever get your car back to you, it will literally be one of a kind

Hey Mike,

Sorry to hear of all the problems up to this point ! I could have sworn I read somewhere prior to you delivering your HHR to Hahn that they didn't have the greatest customer approval rating! As some of us "Older Generation" can attest to with todays economy customer service has suffered! I also believe some people just don't have what it takes to be in business! Hahn is pretty well known in the Performance Industry but to have your vehicle and payment for seven plus months is pretty extreme, ground up job or not . Hope the news gets better sometime soon .....

Been having trouble getting answers on when my HHR turbo install will be done, so I drove up to Hahn's shop in Yorkville IL today.

Bill was not in but got to meet Aaron who does most of the hands on work, Bill mostly does the tuning these days. Aaron was a real nice guy.

It was very cool seeing that intercooler hooked up. (Bumper is still off and it was up on their rack.) The turbo is on and most of the piping is done. Main issue they are having now is finding an air filter which will fit. Because of the way the had to route the pipes, neither the stock or GMPP intake will fit anymore. They're also waiting to get the computers back; I'd had them tuned and they needed to be unlocked for Bill to work his magic.

Car has been gone WAY too long, but at least now I visually know what has been done and what the issues are they are battling. Still shooting for ~300hp with 8-9 lbs boost. Once we get that done and running good for a while, my quest for 400hp with continue!

I'm kinda, okay more than kinda, confused about the air filter. How had can it be considering they are planning on placing it in the same place as three other aftermarket intakes; front passenger corner.

At this time there is NO Hahn 2.4 turbo and may never be. I can't get them to return my calls or emails. My last contact with them was Bill Hahn threatening to return my car to stock, return my investment in the project and end the deal.

After 9+ months, they have not finished the pipes (still needed to be powder coated), or done the tune. When I saw it two weeks ago, they still had the test pipes on it and I was told that they could not find a filter that would fit. When I voiced my frustration, Bill Hahn got pissed and that's when he threated to return my car to stock and just give it back.

I have informed them that this is NOT acceptable since they have already used my car for placing the intercooler and routing the pipes, the hardest part. At this point I have no idea what is going on but I am afraid I may have to contact the BBB and a lawyer.

Wow Mike,

Kinda sounds like you are going to get your HHR back but most likely in a Stock Configuration (for your sake I hope the Turbo gets done)! Like you stated it's probably a Lawyer Deal! I would except nothing less than it returned it the condition it was dropped off in! No extra holes for this or that and if not in acceptable condition a settlement might be in order! And the time it has sat there? Glad I can't even afford to think about going that route!

Good Luck ,

Yea, it really sucks. Plus they had my computers detuned so they could do their own tune. So unless they ship retune them, I will actually have LESS performance than when I dropped it off and my speedo will be inacurate becuase I'd had it adjusted for oversized tires.
