Mike, that situation absolutely SUCKS!!

They have had your car for SOOOOO long, without coming up with a viable solution! Sorry for you!

Unfortunately, the HHR market is limited, to say the least, and they probably recognize that fact.

Having done the supercharger setup on the HHR, I know for a fact that space up front is very limited, and that may well have been their "downfall".

My suggestions to you:

If you are out any money, usage or time... consult a lawyer!

Second, consider going with a supercharger setup!! I know that it works and know how to do it! I'd be glad to help with suggestions, directions and even tuning info!

It's not that they haven't come up with a solution, they have just let it sit. All I have gotten from them is excuses.

Don't get me wrong, I hope this still works out.

As for the supercharger, I don't have the skills to do it myself, or the cash to pay someone to do the work. The space is fine; the pipes have been routed and the intercooler was mounted. The air filter crap, was just that; a crappy excuse. They have routed it into the same area as the CGS intake, so there are many cone filters that will work.

They just don't do any work. It took them 9 months to send my computers to Tune Time to have them reset! That should have been the first thing they did back in January. Its when I pointed that out that Bill Hahn quit. At lest I think he quit.

Again, right now I don't know what is going on. In theory, they could be done. Assuming they got the computers back last week, they should have been able to do the tuning. So a week for testing, maybe two. In theory, they should have this finished in a couple weeks.

The frustration is that anytime I complain about how long it is taking, Hahn plays the "tragedy". card. I know he lost his dad, but that was several months ago. I have been very understanding but Hahn is using that excuse to cover everything and then implies that I'm a bad person for not being happy!

I'd get my HHR turned back to factory and my money back with the help of a lawyer (maybe even a little compensation money for all the time they wasted), then give JoeR a call, buy the stuff he tells you and have him help you Supercharge it.

Hahn's business practices have declined dramatically, I'm determined not to buy anything from Hahn for my SS, nothing but a huge rip off, you can buy the exact same thing with better quality for less money. I will go ZZP or CIA for bolt ons, and Trifecta for after market tune when I go that route.

I should get more than just a little, they got most of what they needed: fitting and placement of the intercooler, and sizing and routing of the piping. I would be getting nothing for the use of my car for nine+ months.

I won't be accepting anything less than the job completed or a fair compensation settlement.

Mike,

I'd say if they aren't finished by the end of the month, tell them to put it back to the same condition it was delivered, or at least cover the expense of retuning and reinstalling the ZEX system. They've wasted enough of your time and shown everyone here why nobody else in the performance industry takes them seriously.

I had a very good conversation with Bill Hahn today.

He called me and apologized greatly for all of the problems. They are testing the car this week and finalizing the tuning. They are still waiting for the pipes from the powder coater but figure the car should be ready next week.

So as of today, I should have my car back by 10/3.

All we did was move it around the shop a bit, but it’s up and running, all looks good…more news to come as we begin to drive and dyno!

Thanks for everything, Mike…

I was reading on another HHR forum that Hahn is still working on the 2.4 turbo-anyone have any updates?
