Now, I don't have any beef with you or your company at all and I hope that you will develop quality products and have good luck in marketing them. I'm just simply explaining why some members may have certain prejudices to your company at this point.
There's too much generalization in describing issues in the past, present and future. I can't stress the fact that how installation and lack of knowledge resulted in the negative press about our products...

Regardless, as always we're going to be freight training with new products and hope to see a lot of old customers who moved onto HHRs' and new customers in here... hopefully you too Snoopy.

JBP....I do wish you luck.

But, the "hopefully you too Snoopy" is wishfull thinking. I have NOT purchased anything in speed or performance related product for my HHR. IMO, currently most products related to that area are nebulous....and I have seen dyno charts from "the most reliable source" to confirm this. For example, I personally can't justify $200+ for an aftermarket intake system and recognize about 2-3 USABLE HP....it just does not make sense. Besides, I recognize the HHR as an ECONOMY vehicle with nice styling....nothing more.

Alternately, I have another vehicle that is considered "performance" and I'm perfectly happy with the HP Gm provided with that (except for a few slight modifications).

But, good luck in you development of things to come. AND I sincerely suggest posting DYNO CHARTS (not Powerpoint "contrived" charts)to substantiate any performance gain statements. It would give some credibility.

Nuff said....I'm done.

The bored lawyer in me. Seriously, I almost went to work today because I already did the 50k service on my car yesterday--in about 20 minutes!

Honestly, I agree with Snoopy on the so-called performance parts that are out there right now that deliver little ROI. Just look at Quasimotor for example. He's adapted a supercharger to the 2.4 engine in his freakin' garage, dyno'd out about 300 HP at the crank, and NOBODY seems to give a rat's. Where is the development of these REAL POWER kits from the aftermarket? Honestly, how much more does it cost to change something from the Cobalt to the HHR? The computer work is already done, the only other part is packaging--which if a guy can do it in a motorcycle shop on his own, certainly a company with access to CAD/CAM equipment and supplier contracts can do it too.

And no, I'm not going to be duped into buying a bent metal intake tube for $250 that my local muffler shop can fab up for $20 that isn't going to add anything but a lot of noise and vibration.

Just for the record, we've never posted powerpoint charts... I'm sure you meant that arbitrarily speaking..

This is great. He should be recognized. I haven't heard of it... Which supercharger? what engine? more info! In comparison to this gentleman, we run a business and can in way compete with a guy turning his wrench in his garage. Most guys are doing this sort of project with the intent to impress themselves and turn a few heads at the same time... Believe me when I say, the best customer is a versed customer. The guy who walks in the door and says, "This is what I need, build it" versus the guy who says, "What do I need to built it", I'll take the prior.

Most of the intakes (if not all) seem like they were just whipped together. Throw a filter on the end. Don't know if you saw our intake for the LE5 that we're working on with a member here, but it's definitely going to be something different..

Just a couple threads below this one right now. I remember seeing PAGES of posts when people started throwing CGS intakes at their cars, this guy gets his LE5 to run with an M62 blower on E85 ethanol and nobody seems to be paying attention!

I thought I was the only person that noticed the same thing.....I remember plenty of people (including myself) coming up with some really cool or useful mods, only to get a handful of remarks or more commonly, negitively criticized!!!....But lookout if someone installs a sticker on their grille!!! It's earth shattering, ground breaking news and gets 400 because they well known on the boards....

^--- thank you! Now you see why the simple mods I have done are usually not posted about. I don't mind others posting how I did the "blue dash light" mod but most of the mods done on my HHR have been explained through PM's for this reason alone. I remember taking a dremel to my grill long before it was known here as the "Shagy" 3bar mod... oh well.. those with fame get the credit right RUDEINC??? :twothumbs
