I hope you arent referring to ME? I wrote you months ago that we had a lot in common. I am still having the T/C light come on (I have the CGS intake and was refused any warranty work due to it). I have been keeping a log of when my light comes on. Happens while cruising, stopped at lights, slightly accelerating, and generally after a burnout.

In my case, I dont remember ever getting the light after installing my intake. Only noticed it after getting my car back from the body shop following an accident where a car hit my right rear wheel. I have been told that a bad sensor can send an errant code that could trigger the light and MAP sensor. I have already replaced my MAP sensor with no success, so I want to get the wheel sensor checked. I have been trying to get my car into a dealer for weeks now, but with the holiday back up they are very crowded.

The Manifold Absolute Pressure should not be affected by a different airfilter.

I had similar problems with a Porsche that I had installed a K&n on. Turned out that my CEL was coming on due to too much oil on the filter and it got a mist on my MAF sensor and things got real loopy for a while. I saw an add for MAF sensor cleaner and ordered some just to try it to see if it would help. Not only did it fix the problem, the car ran better than ever. All the K&N filters I have used seem to have a very heavy coat of oil on them out of the box.

Where did you get the MAF sensor cleaner?

Have heard several stories about the K&N filter oil getting on sensors. One of my co-workers recently had to replace several sensors on his F-150 because he oiled his filter and installed it before it was time. I personally use the Airaide sytem and love it.

I found this info on MAF and oiled air filter replacement.

http://www.mightyautoparts.com/pdf/articles/tts0405.pdf

I know CRC makes MAF sensor cleaner? Any comment or advice on this?

Thanks

I just finished replacing the K&N filter that uses oil with an AEM that is dry, like the GMPP set up. I also removed and cleaned the MAF sensor. Still having the problem. I called the man that tuned my computer. He checked it out last year, trying everything he could think of. He removed the tune, tryed a different MAP sensor, etc. Nothing worked.

I just spoke with him and he suggested that my MAF may be damaged or defective and I should try a new one-not a modified one like the Jet, but a stock one. I have already tried changing the MAP sensor, since I also was getting that code, and I wasted alomst 80 bucks. If I knew for sure that the MAF was the problem, I would have no hesistation buying a new one. But I hate to spend more money if it does not solve this problem. (The new filter was almost 60 dollars)
