Thanks - will be ordering one in Red! What's the skill level for installing one's self? I'm an intermediate shade tree - maybe a bit more advanced.

easy. 4 bolts attach to the rear trailing arms, torque em down. An extra pair of hands are welcomed to hold the other end up while you start the one side first.

Sweet - just ordered mine in Red. Double checked that my 2LT didn't have one already - would have been just my luck. But bone stock! I'm excited - it already handles well with the 17" 50 series rubber.

to get back on the original topic, here are some pics of my HHR lowered with cobalt ss/sc springs, again inexpensive and a stock chevy part.

just another option for lowering an HHR other than the gold lines or eibach

I have the Goldlines, 3rd generation. Love them no complaints here.

Eibachs on mine. Not as low as with GL, but still hits the bump stops from time to time. The rear sway bar will also make the handing more nuetral, meaning the car will not understeer as much as when stock. Understeer is when you turn the wheel, but the car keeps going straight untill you turn it some more. They call that pushing or tight in racing. Over steer is when you turn a little and the rear starts to swing out or fish tail. They refer to that as loose in racing. Nuetral is a ballance of both. I have the progress rear bar on mine. It is great.

Installing the rear sway bar was the easiest mod I've done on my HHR! 4 bolts, no drilling.
