Dealer Wanted $165 and 1.5hours to install. Intake arrived today and since today is going to be the Coolest Day of the week (85) i decided to install it myself. Install went really well actually. First time i read the instructions, i was thinking maybe dealer time's. But I got it!! Took me about 1hr and that was with Dropping the Dam Bolt for the Cover and of course it ended up under the Intake Box
.
Only issue i had was lovely Fed-Ex Beat the Box so the Bolt flanges on the Air Box to screw the lid to. The Front i had to use a plier's and bend them down alittle.

There is no labor time guide supplied for GM Performance Parts. If the part can be obtained from a GM ADI dealer, those parts will have labor times supplied with the installation instructions. The CAI is not an ADI accessory so that is why the dealers don't know what to charge, unless they have installed one before. This is in answer to your prior post, which now appears to have been deleted.
Dealers rarely have customers that want them to install Performance Parts. Most people that buy these parts put them on their self.
Also Parts,Service & Body Shop (commonly referred to as Fixed Departments) are more like 75%-85% of the net income for dealers. Net income is bottom line after all bills and salaries are paid.

I put the performance intake on my LS the dealer said about 45 min. install, I looked at it and decided to do it my self. it took me 23 min. If the performance exhaust looks as easy as undoing clamps and flang bolts may do it myself
