has anyone had any problems with radio reception? sometimes mine has static

Yes, mentioned in the Problems/Issues forum.

Radio needs updated software which may or may not fix the problem.

Generally speaking....

the dealers service people are NOT doing the update correctly. Which is a problem. They MUST Follow the instructions EXACTLY as outlined in the TSB. But alas, time is money.....so they cut corners and rush the issue.

However, I'm not sure "static" is a repair that is supported by the software upgrade......guess it really depends on what kind of static.

In some cases (like mine) the dealer service people don't do the work. They call in a specialty company that all the local GM dealers use for radio problems.
