REALLY stupid question
I have never used jack stands before! I have a 4 post lift at my Dad's house and there was never a need to use stands. I am installing the rear lowering springs tomorrow and realized my inexperience.
I obviously have to get the rear end off the ground onto stands. Do I jack up one side, slide the stand underneath then repeat for the other side? This seems weird but other than jacking the car up from the center of the rear beam, Im at a loss here.
Better to look stupid and ask then to have a freakin catastrophe jumpin off

Yes, that works. I've seen more than 1 location for jack stands mentioned here but I used the lip on the frame that the scissor jack would use. You've got running boards so make absolutely sure you are "inside" of those on the lip behind them. You WILL bend your running boards if you're not clear! Also, you're going to want to make sure your jack stand cradles will work with the lip. I cut a groove in some small wood blocks to help the fit. Also, of course, block your front wheels, flat ground, etc... common sense jacking precautions.
